Karenna is a singer-songwriter and performer based in the North Bay, CA.
Her mission is to spread joy, and give the world permission to be weird, wild, and authentic.
Karenna's inspiration and influences span vast artistic pathways such as clown, comedy, glam-rock, punk, drag, and burlesque.
BIO
Karenna grew up in San Francisco, steeped in arts and performance. Since she was a teeny kiddo has loved to make people laugh. She has been the front woman of all female rock raunch band Snail Trail https://www.snailtrailband.com/ and a long time company member of SF's infamous clown drag dance troupe, Fou Fou Ha! https://foufouha.net/
Karenna performs regularly around the Bay Area and is destined for HUGE stages. She performs original comedy music sets, develops characters, acts, and physical comedy bits, that can fit into variety shows- and she can fill a full show of her own as well.
Her original music is feminist, bold, body-positive, and tells stories from all the deep parts of her soul… and sometimes will make your face hurt from laughing. Her musical-spirit-support-angels are Lady Gaga, Freddie Mercury, Amy Winehouse, Gilda Radner, and Tenacious D.
In this season of life as a middle aged mama, Karenna is embracing the fear and risk that comes with being an artist- rather than letting it stop her.
There is not enough time to waste worrying about what others will think, it is now or never. So let's freaking GO!
